We are at a truce with our contractor. To be honest, he really is a good guy, I just think he does not handle situations very well. Jay and him talked and everything is peachy. He is coming over tomorrow night at 8 to walk through the project to prepare for Saturday. On Saturday, we have 6 people + our contractor + Jay, working on the house. They plan to complete some of the outstanding work in the kitchen, install doors, trim, wainscoting in dining room, etc.
We also had a productive day today. The wallpaper came down, the bathroom and laundry room floor was installed, and the drywaller sanded the basement. Here are some pictures . . . .

Family update: Weather has been amazing here. Now we are finally benefiting from moving more north. We have hot days but cool nights. Not sure if I mentioned but we have lucked out with awesome neighbors. We hang out with them all the time. Several days a week. They have a boy a year older than Jace, a girl who just turned 3, and a boy 2 months younger than Abby. We met them today at a playground. This is Abby with Emory the 3 year old girl having a snack.
Then we headed to a birthday party for one of Jace's school friends, Peter, who we hang out with alot outside of school.
This is Jace's girlfriend, Maggie. His teachers tell us they play together all the time. They were inseparable at the party.
Jay went with his friend John to a Nationals game so we headed to this outdoor fountain area. Everyone came home tired and soaked.
