Was it the paint fumes or the baby brain?!?!?

Today Jace, Abigail, and I have plans to go to Charleston.  We are going down to spend time with Mimi and Pop-pop but also to get out of town so Jay could get some work done on the house since we move next Wednesday.  We have a 10:00 flight so after a long night with a teething baby and packing till late last night . . . I get up early to ride with Jay to work so he could drop us off for our flight.  We get there around 8.  After having one of those bag guys help us inside (since we have car seats, bags, strollers, 2 children to get inside), I realize I have no cash.  I get the pissed off face by the bag guy when I told him I forgot my cash.  We go to check in . . .. go through all of the steps . . inserting birthdays, get help putting the car seats in protective bags, trying to keep my 3 year old from jumping on the conveyor belt . . . I get to the last screen and it says "you cannot check bags in more than 12 hours in advance"   WTF!!!!!   Yes people, I booked a flight for pm rather than am.  I almost lost it . . . after the assistance of several people at United (all working moms who understand the predicament I was in), all flights to Charleston today are booked and one oversold.  My only option was a flight with a layover through Newark that would get me in an hour or two earlier than my current flight.  So we called Dad, we are home, Jace is at school, and now I get the lovely experience of flying with two kids during not only their bedtime but late into bedtime (we arrive into Charleston at midnight).  Don't be jealous.

What I feel the worst about is how excited Jace was for the flight.  He literally sang the entire way to the airport.  So wish me luck.  It will be a long night.

House progress.

The floors have been sanded. . . .

Sanded again . . .

 Stained . . .

Polyurethane Coat and another coat goes on today.  Than the floors have a week to dry before we move in.  SO far we have been very happy with the floors and love the company!  So far so good on finding our first sub contractor.

The last project to be completed before move in is the shed.  Jay tried to work on the shed this weekend and finally gave in to hire someone.  The shed is great.  Really large, enough space for tools, toys, whatever BUT a lot of water damage.  We have someone coming today to remove the moldy drywall, insulation and roof and make repairs.  We really need this done by move in so we can put the tools directly there rather than who knows where.

So that is it.  I am still in shock that I messed up the flight.  I used to be such an organized person.  What have these kids done to me or maybe it was the paint fumes?!?!?!
